Bodner Chandeliers
Green Statement

Primarily a sculptor and painter, I began illuminating my work as chandeliers in 1994 when I found my love for light but I have also always been an environmentalist and maintained that my work not be a negative impact to the environment.

My company, Bodner Chandeliers, is founded on these principals and practices "Green" methods in everything we do, from the steel used to create the pieces (It is made in USA or Canada of up to 98% recycled) to the finishes (we substitute chemical cleaners with baking soda, soy lube and rubbing alcohol, wax sealants and eco clear coat or powder coatings and non-toxic water based touch-up paint and non-toxic glues are substituted for traditional lacquers and sprays). A percentage of profits are donated to environmental organizations like California environment, NRDC, Greenpeace, Animals Asia, Marine Mammal association and SPCA. We use corn starch biodegradable peanuts and recycled biodegradable paper wadding for packaging materials and re-use boxes when possible. We recycle and compost at our shop. We also buy locally when possible and are currently working on using LED lights in the pieces. Bike riding to work is encouraged.
